Mr. Mark Bos

Mr. Bos has 10 years experience as a project engineer at the Research department of Damen Shipyards Gorinchem. Main activities have been conducting applied research, consultancy work and sea-trial measurements in the field of ship propulsion, ship manoeuvring, sea-keeping, structural vibrations and acoustics. He is specialised in ship hydrodynamics in the broad sense and developed several tools for the prediction, analysis or full-scale measurement of hydrodynamic properties.

Mr. Bos has been involved in numerous sea trials of different kinds of vessels for the verification of the hydrodynamic performance and the structural and acoustic characteristics. The types of vessels involved range from small patrol boats and tugs to cargo vessels and large navy vessels.

He was responsible for the hydrodynamic performance of the cargo vessels, offshore vessels and specialised non‑standard vessels built at the shipyards that are part of the Damen Shipyards Group.

In 2007 Mr. Bos joined ALKYON as Project Manager and participated mainly in ship mooring and ship manoeuvring simulation studies.
