Mr. Peter van den Bosch

Mr. Van den Bosch has 25 years experience in software engineering. His software engineering expertise includes the design and development of mathematical simulation models. He has worked on the development of a wide range of the Delft Hydraulics numerical models. Some of the models, he was responsible for the software design and implementation, are: PHAROS, a combined wave refraction-diffraction model, DROCON, a three-dimensional model for computation of wave forces, and SKYLLA a Navier-Stokes model for simulation of breaking waves on and in coastal structures.

His experience with different hardware platforms, covers a broad range of hardware platforms and operating systems, varying from PC-systems to workstations and supercomputers. Mr. Van den Bosch has been involved in the ESPRIT project REDO, where he studied the impact of new hardware architectures, like high performance computers, on the process of software restructuring. Recently Mr. Van den Bosch has worked on the design and development of a general visualisation tool for the Delft Hydraulics numerical models. Within Alkyon Mr van den Bosch is responsible for the design and construction of the software tools of Alkyon.
