Mr. Jurriaan Lambeek

Mr. Lambeek has mainly been working abroad during the last seven years. As project manager / teamleader of large water projects he has developed experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams, in the financial and contractual side of large projects in complex political, economic and intercultural situations and in ‘building bridges’ between international donors, clients, independent panels of experts, international and local experts, government organisations and project staff. Mr. Lambeek has acquired experience in different water related disciplines like coastal and river morphology, hydraulics, fresh water and salt water exchange, hydrology, hydraulic structures, remote sensing techniques, geographical information systems, 1-D, 2-D and 3-D mathematical modelling, physical models, environmental impact assessments and integrated coastal zone management. He has acted for two three years as Team Leader of the Gorai River Restoration project amd two years as the Provincial Long Term Resident Advisor of the Vietnam-Netherlands Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project in Vietnam. Mr. Lambeek is a person who has shown to manage his projects in a participatory way, who is open towards his colleagues, adjusts his approach to the local culture and who efficiently engages his team members in his search for the (im)possibilities to fulfill the required tasks within the available time and budget. His experience was called upon in The Netherlands, Egypt , Thailand , Bangladesh , Pakistan , Tanzania , Mali , Malaysia , Panama , Honduras and Vietnam .
