Mr. Luitze Perk
Mr. Perk is a hydraulic engineer,
graduated in January 2006 at the Delft University of Technology.
During his M.Sc. thesis study he
investigated the hydrodynamic and morphodynamic behaviour of the Itapocu inlet
in
Brazil
. Besides, the consequences of the construction of two breakwaters on the
behaviour of the inlet were investigated. To this end, he firstly collected data
in
Brazil
and used these to successfully set up and calibrate a Delft3D model.
In his B.Sc. thesis study he designed, together with two other students, a
nature and recreational area. Due to the completeness, quality and way of
approach of the study, the thesis won the national hydraulic engineer award
2002.
His activities at Alkyon have been mainly focussed on hydraulic and
sedimentation studies using mathematical and numerical models.
