SHIP-NAVIGATOR
is a ship manoeuvring simulator, used for design and optimisation of
channels and harbours. The simulator works either real-time or fast-time.
Also it allows for manual ship control as well as automated control. In
the latter case a pilot-emulating tool steers the ship in a human-like
fashion along a pre-determined track and controls engine, rudder and
assisting tugs. The model has been designed such that it allows for
accurate manoeuvring at sea, in channels and rivers and for close-quarter

SHIP-MOORINGS
is a ship motion simulation program, used for design and optimisation
of mooring systems. The program is capable of simulating the behaviour
of a ship moored to fixed structures (quays, jetties) as well as floating
structures (single point or spread mooring systems) under the influence of
wind, waves, tide and current, all varying in time and space. The ship-moorings model has
been validated with scale model tests. A detailed description of

- Digital Wave Atlas: Wind and wave are
important parameters for inland shipping, pleasure crafts and yachts on
large lakes like the IJsselmeer in the Netherlands.
Alkyon Hydraulic Consultancy & Research
combined their specialist knowledge and wave models for the development of
a Digital Wave Atlas. This Wave Atlas can be integrated with the WinGPS
navigation software of Stentec
Software.
