Wave models
- HISWA is
a two dimensional spectral wave model (parameterised in
frequency) for wave propagation in shallow water
including refraction and shoaling, growth due to wind
action and dissipation by bottom friction and breaking;
- SWAN is a
two dimensional full spectral wave model for wave
propagation in shallow water including refraction and
shoaling, growth due to wind action, non-linear wave
interactions (Triad and Quadruplet) and dissipation by
bottom friction and breaking;
- HYDROBASE
is a model system with tools for statistical analysis,
data presentation and simple models for various wave
generation and propagation effects. Applications include
prediction of local normal and extreme metocean
conditions and downtime computations;
- DIFFRAC2DH
is a two dimensional model for the wave penetration of
harbours including diffraction and partial reflection.
HISWA and SWAN have been
developed by Delft University of
Technology.
HYDROBASE is
an in-house development of Alkyon Hydraulic
Consultancy & Research.
DIFFRAC2DH
has been developed by WL|Delft
Hydraulics.
Our engineers and researchers have extensive experience with
all above mentioned models and Alkyon
Hydraulic Consultancy & Research is authorised to
apply the models.
